We’ve been quiet for a while.

The alpha version of Budgetwise had too many small features and not enough focus on the basics. It didn’t do a great job at the thing that actually matters: helping you manage your budget month to month. So we rewrote it.

The new version focuses on what actually matters: managing your budget month to month, importing your bank transactions without pain, and keeping things simple.

What’s in the new release

Budgetwise budget page showing category groups, budgeted amounts, and spending
  • Multi-month budget view. See your previous, current, and next month side by side. No more clicking back and forth between months.
  • Flexible CSV import. Auto-detects your bank’s format, handles different column layouts, works with credit card statements, and catches duplicates automatically.
  • Recurring transactions. Set up rent, subscriptions, paychecks, or loan payments once. They’re created on schedule so you don’t have to enter them every month.
  • Credit card tracking that tells the truth. When you charge something, that money is committed from your budget immediately. Your budget reflects reality the moment you spend, not when the bill comes.
  • File attachments. Attach receipts, invoices, or documents to any transaction.
  • Shared budgets included. Invite your partner or family. Everyone sees the same numbers. Not a premium feature, not an upsell.

Mobile app preview

We’re working on a mobile app for iOS and Android. Here’s an early look at what we’re building.

What’s coming

  • Charts and spending trends (Q2 2026)
  • Bank sync (Q3 2026)
  • Mobile app (release date announcement coming soon)

Pricing: $4/mo

The base plan includes everything above. We’re using an add-on model: features that cost us money to run (like bank sync) will be optional add-ons. If you only need the basics, you keep paying $4/mo. We don’t bundle things you didn’t ask for and raise the price.

Lifetime subscriptions cover the $4/mo base plan. Add-ons will be charged separately.

Try it out

This is a fresh release. There will be bugs. Some features are still being polished. But it’s a more complete app than the alpha, and we’re building it based on your feedback.
